As a new member I apologise if this has been discussed before.Although I have read many science fiction/fantasy books I am finding it difficult sometimes to follow a thread when the abbreviations used don't register with me.Some I can work out but others...
What do you experts think?-or is something I'll pick up!

This is something that bugs me. We're only making ourselves illiterate with all the abbreviations. I'll try to help out.
WoT (Wheel of Time)
ASoIaF (A Song of Ice and Fire)
BTW (by the way)
IIRC (if I recall correctly)
IMO (in my opinion)
Those five seem to be the ones I come across most. You should give some examples of the ones which stump you though.

As far as I know, SoT means Sword of Truth, a series written by Terry Goodking. If you like fantasy, you'd probably like it... at least I did.
As to RoA, I'm not quite sure.]
