I've always enjoyed horror where the writer takes something seemingly innocent, even loveable and turns it evil. I'm wondering if people have favorite novels or short stories where this was used. Some that come to my mind are:
Stephen King's Chattering Teeth (About those cute littel chattering teeth on the walking feet)
Cujo : We're supposed to love doggies
:)
The awful Chucky movies and so many others based on dolls....
Anyway, I don't want to answer my own question...you tell me. When a horror story about an innocent thing is well written I never look at it the same again without thinking about the evil potential I never saw in it before...
