Okay, so this may sound like a dopey post, but I really need some help remembering some of the names of the action figures I had when I was a kid in the 80's. Not remembering the names is about to drive me insane!! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif
So could anybody on this board that knows about the figures I describe please be so kind as to tell me the name of them.

Okay, here's a couple of discriptions:

I remember having a couple of action figures in an action figure series that had this one guy who wore gold and blue armor and had a gold helmet that kind of looked like one of the helmets from the Tron movie. And I remember having the action figue of this guy's arch-enemy, who was this dude with black and silver armor, who had a cybernetic arm and had a cyborg-like face and also had a cutlass that came with him, and he wore a black cape. And there was one more figure I had in this series that was a bulky robotic-type creature that had these tank-treads in stead of legs. I almost remember this action figure series being based on a cartoon or a movie, but I'm not sure.
Then I had this series of action figures that consisted of what I guess were supposed to be mutants because they were like these metallic-armored figures with the faces of animals, such as apes, baboons, tigers, etc. They all were very small figures, about 2.5 inches in height, and I think they had guns that came with them, and I seem to remember this square shiny thing on their breastplates.

So could anyone here possibly remember these figures, and what the names of the action figure series were?

Well, I looked on the internet and found out what that series of action figures was called with the Tron-like guy and the cyborg guy. It was called "Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future". Boy, did they have cheesy names for action figures back in the eighties!!! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
As to what the animal-mutant figures were called, alas, I still do not know. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/frown.gif

the square shiny thing btw, was a foil picture which, when you warmed it up with your finger revealed an image such as a flame i think, i'll try and dig them out. Does anyone remember starcom? now that was cool.

I remember watching the Captain Power tv show when I was a kid.
But seriously, hearing kid's toys described like that made me think, "Man, we used to play with some pretty crazy **** when we were younger!"
I wonder what my kids are gonna think when I tell them about the Ninja Turtles. (if I ever have kids, that is! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif
