Domine- What is your opinion of this band?

Well, just last week I bought an epic fantasy metal cd by the band Domine. The name of it is "Dragonlord: Tales of the Noble Steel", and I thought that since all the covers of Domine's albums have Elric of Melnibone on the front of them, that all their songs would be based on Elric.
But, alas, this wasn't true when I bought the CD, and I was actually a bit dissapointed with some of the songs.
Now don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed some of the songs on the CD, such as "The Battle Anthem", "Thunderstorm", "Uriel The Flame of God", "The Ship of the Lost Souls", and the songs based on Elric such as "Lord Elric's Imperial March", and "Dragonlord", I thought those two songs were very beautiful and atmospheric. I even liked the poem about "The Winds of Mars".
However, there were some songs on that CD that I simply did not like, such as "Blood Brother's Fight", which to me sounded awful, "Defenders", which seemed to be a blatant cut'n'paste ripoff of Hammerfall's "The Way of the Warrior", and "The Dawn of Steel", which just seemed mediocre and thrown-together.
My Dad, who really likes the groups Hammerfall, Kamelot, and Rhapsody, listened to Domine's CD with me in the car and he said that the group was pretty good, but he didn't like it as well as he did Hammerfall, Kamelot, and Rhapsody. And he also said that he didn't think that the lead singer was a very good vocalist.
So I kind of have mixed feelings about the band Domine, and I would like to know what some of the opinions of people on this board are about the band.
