Reading...

Killer Chicken
April 2nd, 2002, 07:03 AM
When I read I have an odd quirk about me. I cannot read in a natural light. I close the blinds, I go in rooms without windows. Something about natural sunlight that completely ruins reading for me. My friends think I'm completely odd. I shudder at the thought of sitting outside reading on a summer day, but it would be nice, if the light didn't bother me. Do any of you have the same problem, or am I the only one?

Ouch... well... I'll sympathize with the homicidal poultry...

Though I don't mind reading outside, I do actually prefer the indoors... my thing is reading at night... I'm a nightowl, my normal hours are from about 1:00 in the afternoon to 7:00 in the morning... so reading in natural light is pretty much eliminated anyway...

Killer Chicken, if you stand in front of a mirror, can you see yourself ? :)

I prefer reading in the nice warm daylight sun, on the back porch.

I also like to read on the back porch in the sun. I like to have a lot of light, which isn't suprising since I live in a dingy room in my parents' basement with nary a window. If I turn on the lights down there, they're fluorescent, which I can't stand. Natural light is a precious commodity to me.
