Think this topic's been done before, but anyway...

I have trouble limiting the list to 10 movies- 50 maybe. I guess it really depends what mood I'm in as to my favs. Off the top of my head and using English language films:

Casablanca
Godfather
Shawshank Redemption
12 Angry Men
Usual Suspects
LA confidential
American Beauty
Unforgiven
Great Expectations (Lean's adaptation)
It's a wonderful life
Strangers on a Train

It really depends what I have seen lately. It would be easier to list top 10 in each genre.
Still, in no particular order:

LotR trilogy
Indiana Jones trilogy
Star Wars Trilogy
Gladiator
Sleepy Hollow
Willow
12 Monkeys
X-Men 2
Back to the Future trilogy
Dogma
