I dunno how many of you read my "Wish Me Luck" thread but I found out the other day that I didn't get accepted for Illustration. I guess I'll be doing Chef Training next year.

All the same, thanks again for your support!!

Well, there's an upside. I don't have to find a new place to live or pay rent in Toronto!! Also, I can still hang out with my Ottawa buddies next year.

Sorry to hear it SJ.. they are obviously ignorant and probably watch Jerry Springer all the time!!

At least you now have Joan of Arc to console you, eh?! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

AAAAAAAAHHHHH....they're a bunch of Commies anyway!!!! Great word that, COMMIES!!!!

Who needs them.

Hey, I'd love to check out your work. In fact.... I'd wager that having your ARTWORK would dirctly affect the number of hits this website gets, thus increasing it's popularity. (just doing my part to get you up on the site http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Ever checked out this site? www.epilogue.net (http://www.epilogue.net)

S'okay man, you're better than them anyway.

That web-site was pretty sweet, Kassimir. I guess I'll have to scan some of my good stuff and post a link or something. A warning though: I haven't really had a lot of chance to apply what I've learned to doing fantasy illustrations yet. I have a ball-point pen drawing of Mr. Croup and Mr.Vandemar in the works that is looking pretty good. (It's one thing to read that Mr. Croup is two and a half heads shorter, totally different to draw them and see how massive Mr. Vandemar really is). Anyhoo, most of my drawings are all realistic stuff, to try and show technical skill. The good thing about being in Chef Training is I can draw what I want when I want now. I'm thinking of doing a bunch of drawings of scenes me and my buddies played out in Kindred of the East in the style of Katsuhiro Otomo. Don't expect any sprawling cityscapes from me though. The guy must have been insane.

Anyway, you guys have nothing to worry about. I'm pretty happy with the way things are going (Taoism pays of again!!).

PS: I'm an idiot. Apparently that meeting with Joanofarc didn't go so well. I saw her the once and haven't heard from her since!! She's either dead or really appreciative of Call Display! Don't worry about that either, though, it's hard to miss someone you never got to know.

Keep us posted if you submit your art to any webpages.

Considering that Joan of Arc was the one that hunted you down and arranged the meeting. Now she's bailing on ya. It might not be too far off the mark to say that... Joan of Arc is probably "not all there". You probably dodged a bullet my friend.

Best wishes
