Bummer! I like this show too. Oh well, at least JW will have a chance to finish it off properly. :(

I heard it was because the WB needed to free up some time slots for new shows.

What the heck?

You don't see other networks ditching their popular programming to make room for new stuff.

I heard they were ditching Angel for a Gimore Girls/Smallville spinoof.

That's a shame, the show was pretty good, and so I thought popular as well, not exactly as popular as Buffy was, but popular nonetheless. I hope Keg's just shooting blanks and we're not going to see a Gilmore Girls, Smallville spin-off. Just because Smallvilles a great show and it definetely doesn't need to be tainted by that horrendous swill.

Lol, I'm not a huge fan of Angel, but I always thought it was funny that even though it was a spinoff of Buffy, it somehow outlived it.

Angel had a good run, and was some of Whedon's best work. I'll be sad to see it go, but at the same time ... Better when the show is strong and vibrant than when it has long outstayed its welcome...

Angel has gone way beyond Buffy and should at least be given one more year.

Now it'll rot alongside Farscape and other great shows that got dumped.
