LoTR: RoTK sweeps Oscars, winning all 11 categories it was nominated in, and tying the record for most Oscars with Titanic and Ben Hur.

I guess this is a reward for 3 superb movies... All I can say is: YES!!

I'm of the same mind. I'm happy for Jackson and crew, that all their hard work paid off.

Who would you give the Best Actor & Actress Oscars to?

Well, it did win 3 out of the 5 major Oscars: Best picture, best director, best adapted screenplay.

I agree that this is awesome and very well-deserved. The people who worked on the film put an unbelievable amount of blood, sweat and tears into it so I'm glad to see them receiving acknowledgment of all their hard work.

I'm very surprised they actually gave Best Picture to a fantasy movie. Great stuff! :)

I was referring to fluf's wanting to give the Best Actor/Actress to a LotR cast member :)

But I suppose the question is open to anyone really.

I was happy that Penn got it for Mystic River - what an amazing film.
