Do any of you believe the Mars theories?

You know, a well known theory that has been going around for a long while is that, since their appears to be some kind of ancient ruins on Mars, that there possibly was a race of humans or some other race living on Mars tens of thousands of years ago, and they all were eradicated somehow and were wiped from the planet.
I think this is a very interesting and somewhat valid theory. I think there might be some truth to it. You see, I kind of believe that there may possibly be life on other planets, so this theory is very interesting to me.
So does anyone here believe these Mars theories?

"their appears to be some kind of ancient ruins on Mars, "

- can you back that up? As this is the key to the theory

No, I can't really back that up, I've just seen and heard a lot of people talk about it. And in certain screenshots of the surface of Mars, I've seen what look like ancient buildings and structures.
Plus there is that giant face on Mars that no one can explain.

Actually, NASA's website has a photo of the reputed face on Mars, shown from several different angles in different lighting conditions, and it's quite obvious from these (much clearer) photos that it is not a face at all. Just wishful thinking.

I don't have the exact URL, but heres the address of their search page: http://www.nasa.gov/search/

Ah, but I've heard that Nasa has engaged in a lot of cover-ups about Mars also.

That's the wonderful thing about conspiracy theories isn't it? You can never be wrong. The evidence that counts in your favor counts in your favor and the evidence that counts against you is just one big coverup.

Hrmmmm sounds like that Fox special about the Myth of Man landing on the Moon. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif Fox News is an oxymoron http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

It would be virually impossible to stop any information leaking out of the research community in general. There are just too many people involved in research and that have access to data.

Did any of you see Mission to Mars with Tim Robbins? Wasn't that the basic theory behind that movie? I didn't realize it was an actual theory I thought they had just made it up for the film. I really like parts of the film, but I thought parts of it were rediculusly stupid.

yeah, i saw that, thought it was quite a cool film but not many people saw it i didnt find. The whole idea of mars once having been earth-like and martians spawning life here on purpose was quite interesting. I seem to remember thinking that i could have saved the life of that guy in space with some clever use of the different peoples booster packs and a length of cable or some such.

ok,ive been highly interested in the egyptian pyramids/mars structures relations.i have noticed that most of the theories posted on the internet are from pure speculation and hardly any have scientific proof - Hardly any.It is clearly noticeable that these ruins on mars bear a high(or if even Perfect) resemblence to our very own pyramids in egypt, the face that appears near these "pyramids" on mars is still highly debatable as the face is very deteriorated and the answer is uncertain for now.is it possible that humans had colonised mars before earth, that they had like us today been using up every vital planetory resource until the planet became uninhabitable and they were forced to move?it may be just a mere coinsidence that these ruins on mars are almost asymetricaly lined up to the star constallation that we consider "orions belt" just like the pyramids of Giza. What if humanoids had colonised mars before earth?
