Tatoos

I thought this might be an interesting, if silly, subject. What tatoos (if any) do you have? If you were to ever get a tatoo, what would it be?

I have no tatoos myself, but there are a couple of fantasy related ones that I've been thinking about. Though honestly I'm probably too prissy to acutally go through with it! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

My first choice is the Auryn from The NeverEnding Story. That is one cool symbol! Though I don't know where I'd put it.. maybe the small of my back. Less involved, but related is the Aes Sedai symbol of the snake eating its own tail. Isn't that around the upper arm in the books? Though I'm no longer a fan of WOT, I like that image.

It's funny... Im only now discovering fantasy fiction as a delight... but when I was fifteen, I got a large tattoo of a wizard on my forearm (I was kinda a hooligan) it was actually a cover up of one I origanaly did myself, but then my friend screwed up... It looked fantastic... very detailed, the wizard is shooting lightning from his fingertips, and human skulls litter the ground where he stands. Now, of course, its faded, and bled out so the lines arn't as crisp and clean... yet I still get alot of compliments.

I have the Chinese Rat symbol on my right/outside ankle. I'm thinking eventually I'll get the Western Zodiac symbol for Virgo to go on the opposite side.

I think that as I get older my likes and dislikes will change, but I'll always be a Virgo/Rat.

Only tattoo I got is from when I was drunk on gin 10 years ago and thought it was a really good idea to tattoo myself. So I got a DIY scribble on my right forearm. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hey... most of my tattoos were the result of drunken stupors too!

<Gam- You tatooed yourself!!? I don't think I've ever been THAT drunk!!>

If you are drinking alone you get a lot of funny ideas when you get drunk enough. There's nothing enough time and alcohol can't accomplish. A little tip: never cut your own hair after hours of drinking. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

lol@ cutting hair.
I have never cut my hair while drunk but....
I did let a rather lovely lady talk me into dyeing my hair.

The next morning in the mirror instead of my normal natural blonde hair I see its now jet black.
So out came the razors and I shaved it all off.
It looked much better that way..

But as to giving myself a tat I think i would pass out within the first few seconds.
