I think lots of us on this board have been taking things a wee bit too seriously. This goes for people in general, too. Wake up and inhale the bees!

Yes... I must agree wholeheartedly with alcatraz... It seems you cannot vist a single thread without running into stuffy, onerous, debates and mental gymnastcs...

Weather it's a heated battle to the death about the predominance of either Godzilla or King Kong... or the seemingly neverending, philosophical colloquy of the Mod Moderators thread.

Even here in the general discussion board, where you would think we could lighten up a bit... but just look at recent headers... "Trolls, suitable punishment" "Join the party!" "huh..."

Are we all really that boring and monotonous?

I would like for once to see somebody cut loose... to break out of this assumed rule that every post has to be totally serious, and valid... add a little humor in their responses, or just be crazy for once...

Unfortunately, I don't feel enabled to do this... I'm too set in my ways to act "silly" or "childish", but it would be refreshing to see it happen elsewhere...

BTW: the angry red faces turn Chinese when you highlight them too!!! try it!! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/redface.gif http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/redface.gif http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/redface.gif http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/redface.gif

I have been consulting my microwave, and we both agree: Maturity is for the birds. Let them where their monacles, sip on glasses of champagne, and say phrases like "old boy" and "cheerio." I'm tired of it, and so is my butler, Francois, who is only half bird, but prefers his human half, therefore scoffs at maturity along with me, though, I have a feeling it's only half-hearted.

Suddenly the door to the room explodes and in charges a huge group of clowns with their big shoes and red noses. It’s not long before the balloon-animals and whoopee cushions appear and then things really start to get ugly at the party…

Without balloon-animals, where would we be...? You do know that computers were based on those things.
