Just to expand on this a little, and to clarify any lingering confusion,

No - this is not allowed at SFF, though back when this thread originated, the rules were not as stringent.

We will not allow non-active members to stop by for just one or two posts for the sole purpose of bombarding the forum topics with links to their products or sites etc. We have had some recent instances where the only posts from the offending new members were their ads, and there was no other input from them into our site at all. Subsequently, these threads have now been removed.

Apparently this one slipped through the net, but that's the standing policy on the site. Hence it's closure.
