Elric of Melniboné

It looks as if the movie version of Michael Moorcock's seminal anti-hero is finally coming to the screen. Got to Multiverse.org's Q&A to see more discussion about it. The Weitz Brothers, longtime fans, directors of the American Pie trilogy and About a Boy, have the rights and are working very closely with the man himself to make a proposed trilogy. The first movie will apparently be a fusion of elements from Elric of Melniboné and the Dreaming City.

My thoughts on casting:
Rufus Sewell: Post Dreaming City Elric. A younger actor should play him in the first film I think.
Yyrkoon: Joaquin phoenix
Zarozinia: Claire Danes

I don't know about the casting, but seeing someone bring Elric and the Dreaming City to life would be incredible!
