Since this thing is coming up this month, I'm really curious to find out the general stuff, details, lowdown, raw data on the upcoming World Cup in South Korea and Japan.

I'm kinda new in this area so fill me in please. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

The big news (and the bad news) for us at the moment is that Roy Keane (supposedly our best player) won't be playing for Ireland now. We didn't stand much chance of winning anyway, but still, it's absolutely tragic. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/frown.gif

Well, yes, I can check out the websites on these things but I wanna know from people whose teams are out there on who's better (or best), who you guys are rooting for, and why.

I've read a number of articles in Time Magazine about this and though I'm quite taken by the idea of a world sport that has a number of countries involved from around the world, I'm not passionately involved in this because football ain't such a big thing here. But I wanna be.

So who are you people rooting for?

Hey Shadowen, Ireland can't loose, they are up against Germany, and the German team never was that bad, even at the last European championship, which was outright emberassing. Hey the Germans even managed too loose a test match against Wales.
So good luck to Ireland, kick our sorry asses as our team deserves http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif
