Brimstone!

While watching Farscape today, I found out that the Sci-Fi channel will be airing four back to back to back to back (I guess that was somewhat redundant http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif) episodes of Brimstone on the first three Fridays of December! For anybody who missed it during its brief, 13 episode run last season, Brimstone was a show wherein a dead cop (played by Peter Horton) consigned to Hell had a second chance at life if he could round up 113 escaped demons and send 'em back to the man in red pyjamas. It had great acting, nice effects, and the writing was awesome.

This was probably my favourite show last season and I contemplated taking out several Fox executives when it was cancelled but... 'tis the nature of the beast for us sci fi/fantasy fans. Anywho, I heartily recommend that you tune into the Sci Fi channel on Dec. 3, 10, and 17 from 7:00 - 11:00 PM for some eye destroying action.

The man in red pj's? Are you serious? Sounds like it's a show with a sense of humor. I like that.
Is there anyplace on the net where you can get more info on this show?

Heh... actually, the man in red pjs remark was just my colourful way of referring to ol' Scratch. Despite the lack of crimson nightwear, the guy who plays the Devil (John Glover) does a fairly humorous portrayal... with the requisite evil, of course. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif Generally, it's a serious series but it does slip in its fair share of zingers under the radar.

www.brimstonetv.com (http://www.brimstonetv.com) was/is the official site and has its fair share of info. Plus, how can you go wrong with a show which has its main character covered in tatoos (where that character isn't a circus freak)? http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

I figured that you were referring to beelzebub. The thing that went straight over my head was the possibility of the pj's being
the ever popular red suit complete with horns, forked tail and a pitchfork.

I pictured the satan in this series as literally being a man in red silk pajamas, sitting in this big leather chair and smoking a nice big cuban cigar, while his minions (demons and the like) come in and report the days buisness.

See, now that could be funny.

anyway, gotta check out the link.

The Brimstone series is just starting up here in Sweden... Didn't like it too much due to the poor quality of the acters - at least in the first episode... But maybe it will pick up the phase... But the storyline isn't too bad... So I'll give it a couple of other tries before I totally condem it to the lower pits of Hell...

Cheers from the VirtualVoyager... Voyaging through time and space...

I've seen the 8 episodes they've shown so far. It's definately a really good series. It's a shame it didn't get another season.
