I recently picked up 'A Feast in Exile' by Chelsea Quinn Yarbo. I had a feeling that it had to do with a series, but it does not say 'book 3 in a series of 4' or anything like that. It was only 5.99 for the hardcover at a local book store and I had to take the gamble! Rarely does a student like me have an oppurtunity to read a hardcover book!
So, I am curious. Is it necesarry to read the previous installments of Sainte-Germain, or will this book stand alone?
I hope this is considered fantasy. I consider Vampires to be more fantasy than science fiction. If this is the wrong forum for this thread, then I apologize and would hope to have it moved immediately.
Thankyou all in advance for the help you will provide.

From what I've heard, the St. Germain books can be read as stand-alones. They don't end with cliffhangers. And I think they hop all over the place, time-wise, don't they?
Is St. Germain a time-traveler as well as a vampire?
I googled and went through four pages and several websites, but didn't find anything answering this question.

I hate when that happens. I picked up three or four of a series that extended to ten books, and of course none of the ones I picked up were the first ones. :) I haven't read any of them, and I doubt I'll bother to look for the others.
