just recently seen close encounters on channel five, loved it! cant get that spaceship tune out of my head though, getting a little annoying now, any way, am i the only one that sees a slight resemblance to ET in the little grey alien that does the hand thing? can any1 tell me if that was where Spielberg got the idea from?

No.. that was not where the idea came from, that image of an alien is actually the 'classic' look from people whom have claimed to have been abducted by aliens.

In fact... I have seen some video tapes of what are 'claimed' to be post-mortems carried out on the Roswell aliens, and they had the same look... the tapes where phony IMO, but they were from the late 50's I think.

i've seen that, i think they are fake though, the fact that it is the depiction of a typical alien says it all. and apparetnly the doctor who is in the video is a known actor! see, i do know my stuff.
