does anyone know? it has to be out well before the next one comes out this christmas, doesn't it?

i feel like watching it over and over, but the movies are too expensive. i hope i don't have to wait too long.

I saw in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly that they expect a fall release of Fellowship. Hooray! I was afraid they would wait until they were all out, and then release the DVD's as a set.

Well hopefully it comes out before TT, cuz I'm planning to watch FotR over a couple times before I see TT. Then I'm doing the same when RotK comes out and after that, I'll have to get the dvd where all three movies are connected...only I don't think they'll be able to stick 9 hours onto one disc (or around 13 if it's the director's cut..) It's annoying to have to go up and change the disc...

Oh, you da man. Great going. You must be so pleased with yourself. Getting something that so many people worked so hard on and paying them not a penny for their efforts. That'll help ensure that more quality movies of this genre get made I'm sure. Good for you. While you're at it, why don't you go clobber that old lady down the street and take her pension too? Or if it's the violence that bothers you about that kind of crime, why not just go into a store and lift something there? Oh wait, you don't have to. You can just bootleg a copy off your friend.

What a hero.

I've heard that it's coming out around October/November this year and that there will be two versions. One will be the movie theatre version and the other has an extra 30 minutes of footage. The one with the extra scenes is NOT the director's cut. I remember reading that from some lord of the rings site but I don't remember which one. I think it was theonering.net ...

I beg your pardon Giarc, but I have seen the film 6 times, and intend to buy the dvd when it comes out. now that is hardly cheating the movie out of money. and i will do the same for the next two.

your sarcastic remarks were unjustified because of this. i am just so in love with this movie that i can't wait till its released. when it is released, i will purchase it.

so, do not fear, i am still lining the creators pockets.

I apologize for the misunderstanding but not for my comments regarding piracy. I don't recall you saying anything about buying it in your previous post. All I saw was someone gloating about obtaining an illegal copy of a great movie. Even if you've seen it six times at the theatre, obtaining illegal copies without buying it is just wrong. I'm very pleased that isn't the case in this instance http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif
