Sorry Sam, it is a California thing. Much grass is just the local corruption of mucho gracias. So, no, I wasn't talking about this stuff that comes in a small green brick... http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

Consumer driven trash...
I think that covers 90% of TV these days.

Hasta la bye bye

Darned Californians - infiltrating all the boards with their strange and outlandish colloquialisms.... http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Shehzad - having recieved notification of your intent to seek liabilities against me for my alleged use of the word "sooks", re. 'The X-files' - I am hereby informing you of my intent, if you persist in this course of action, to implement my legal right in British law to a trial by jury, at least one half of which is: female, English, young, and 'X-files' hating! My solicitor shall be in contact presently, with formal confirmation of the above.
Yours, Samantha.

Suck on that! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Grumpy she is, grumpy and MEAN!

Colloquialisms...
I almost sprained me tongue on that one...

I repent, Carmichael. From now on i shall stick to nice, short, simple words only - at least until you learn to read in your head, and not out loud. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

Well bugger its critics, I happen to love the X-Files too! Consumer driven, sure, what isn't, but from a writer's veiwpoint, I really enjoy the witty, and sometimes metaphoric scripting, especially those commensurate with the on-going mythology, which admittedly may go over the heads of some.

But gee, Sam, (Neil sqeaks nervously from the corner) in deference to your own views, wasn't trash just a little too harsh perhaps? http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

Nevertheless, I think it's been a great example of nineties TV SF, which there should have been a lot more of IMO!

Sam,

As I cannot presently discern the whereabouts of my thesaurus, I truly appreciate that.

Oh, Shehzad? I thought you were a physician, not a lawyer... http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

Hasta la bye bye

Of course I'm a physician, but then so is Sammie (I'm being generous here...)

I hereby notify you of my intent to pursue the trial under current Pakistani law whereby you have the following rights:

1. The right to choose your mode of execution
2. Errr... That's pretty much it.

(Before you wonder...I'm j/k http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif)

*proudly*

I am one-fourth of a physician. (Please don't ask which fourth! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif)

Shehzad: if u wish to try me under Pakistani law, there are 2 things you will have to do first:

1)Extradite me from Britain

2)Tell the Pakistani lawyers what 'The X-files' is - after explaining the concept of television, of course. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

Carmichael: If you open MS Word, there's a thesaurus in there....

Sammie: I've initiated extradition proceedings. Now if you join me on the Dark Side and vow eternal submission to Chris Carter, I'll drop the charges.

(I am the master of ridiculous threads!)
