Is anyone else a fan? I read All That Remains, about the couple killings, and I'm currently reading Unnatural Exposure. I also have Isle of Dogs (which I hear is bad) and Portrait of A Killer (the Jack the Ripper book) on hand.

I read the first couple Scarpetta books and liked them. I tried another one, and it felt rushed and sloppy, like she was writing on a schedule, had to meet a deadline or something. The character seemed to be mad at everybody, including herself, and she was doing stuff that didn't make sense to me. I wondered if Cornwell had run out of things to say but just couldn't stop the money machine.
I was going to try again, but I've been influenced by other people saying pretty much the same thing, so I haven't bothered.

I used to be a fan years ago when she first started churning them out, but a combination of over-exposure (read too many in a row), and the increasing popularity of "forensic science" (CSI, etc) have both been off-putting. I haven't read the last 2 or 3 books. The last one I read was with that guy who had some lycanthrope-like disorder.

I havenīt read any of her books, but i might do so some time. I just finished the Body Farm, by dr. Bill Bass. He mentions her, and it seems like sheīs got good stories. However, right now i have to read some dull book on sociology ( donīt know if thatīs an english word, hihi, :o ) for school.

I've read up to Black Notice and have vowed never to read anymore, since they are just turning into a very bad soap opera with Kay's niece,Lucy, becoming this uber woman! When Cornwell writes about the case, then I am in hog heaven, but once she tries to develop characters, it usually a turn off.
