Australian Casting in LOTR

Hugo and Cate did good jobs in FOTR, but I've discovered that David Wenham is going to be playing Faramir in TTT. I don't know about this, I just can't see him in that role. He's an alright actor and all, but still.
so, what do my fellow countrymen think?

I'm not a fellow countryman but I'd say don't judge before you see. The reason I say that is that I don't rate Sean Bean particularly but he was excellent as Boromir - helped by a good script and superb direction. Fingers crossed that the same happens to Wenham (whose work I don't know).

Thinking Wenham is a good actor but is he pretty enough? The wonders of filmdom may surprise. Cruise was a excellent as Lestat and I wouldn't have even considered him for the role!
