Well for me it was a toss up between the 2 I'm not sure I'd consider overt members of the fantasy genre:

The Portrait of Mrs. Charbuque
The Eyre Affair

In the end, had to go with the pleasant refernce filled read that was 'The Eyre Affair.'

Oh, I haven't really heard of any of those, just Phillip Pullman's novels, maybe it's because I live in England. Or maybe I'm just in my own little world. :o

Hi Pineapple,

The book club only elects books that are available in the UK (among other places :D) - if you don't see the titles in your local bookshops, you can get them through amazon.co.uk :)

Feel free to join in with the discussions retrospectively, if you do decide to give any of them a go :D
