Hey folks, from now until December 31st BantamSpectra (http://www.randomhouse.com/bantamdell/spectra.html), one of Random House (http://www.randomhouse.com)'s Fantasy and Science Fiction imprints is running a poll with a chance to win "one of twenty Spectra Samplings for 2005! This collection of work from your favorite (and soon-to-be-favorite) Spectra authors was compiled by editors Anne Groell and Juliet Ulman and is not available in stores."

All you have to do is go to the poll: http://www.randomhouse.com/bantamdell/SpectraPulse.php and vote. our very own site, SFF World (http://www.sffworld.com) is one of the choices in the first question: Which Science Fiction/Fantasy Web sites do you regularly visit? and you can check all that apply.

So, on behalf of the people behind the scenes here at SFFW, go there and vote for us! Let the publishers know you come here and that SFFW is a web presence of which they should be cognizant!

Just a note, I filled it out and it turns out it's for US, Canadian and Puerto rican residents only.

Is it over?

Nope, it's over December 31st. You can only enter once though; I went back and entered again (a lot of website contests allow you to enter every week or even every day) only to notice afterwords that multiple entries from the same email address are disqualified. Figures. :(

Yeah, I can't even open it. Sorry guys, would love to show my support.

Just like NZ gets missed off most of the 'world' maps in the movies and whatnot, I guess our opinions just don't matter either. Sniffle. (Or it could be something to do with free books and postage, but hey I'd rather just feel sorry for myself. :p )

We very much appreciate the support, folks, but that particular contest was over in 2004, which is why you can't enter it today. :)

But I'm sure we'll alert you if Bantam Spectra ever does it again.
