Trouble with bold

I can't put anything in bold at the moment. Every time I try, I just get jumped to a different section of the page....Is it my profile, or my computer?

Are you using the 'bold' key at the top of a new post, or are you just typing in the code [b]message in bold[ /b] (minus the space) by hand? Whichever you are doing, try the other and see if it makes a difference....

Sounds like it could be something dodgy in the way your keyboard is set up, to me.....

I've never tried typing in the code....will see how I get on. Thanks Sammie.

Definitely use the codes. Whenever I put something in the boxes that come up with the buttons I get jumped around the page. Codes are just better.

Another way to use the buttons is to highlight what you want to do, like bolding text, and then hit the bold button. Keeps you from jumping around too much.

um....am I being thick? Is there a bold button on the keyboard? I think it is my computer as this is a different one and it works fine here!

No, but there's a button on the page you use to make a post. Or you can use the code - a 'b' in [] to start and a '/b' in [] to end.
