It's funny, all I ever see in the end is what's wrong with the books and how I would like them to be better - so it's great to hear readers enthusing, even if it might give me a big head.

Neither editing poems or stories are easier, really; though I am one of those writers who enjoys editing, as I've said elsewhere... Some poems have taken me longer to write than the novels. Sounds silly, no? But to get a one-page poem right can take years. But with a novel, you have thousands and thousands of sentences, and you would like to get them all as right as possible...and also, as the Pellinor book go on, there are more and more details to remember. One thing I hate doing (it makes me feel embarrassed) is getting my own names wrong or mixed up (and believe me, I've done it!)

I just read the 4 sample chapters of The Crow and I was wondering is the book going to focus on Maerad and Cadvan at all or is it just going to be about Hem?

As Alison said, unfortualtely no... *tear* sigh, but Hemand Saliman should be interesting enough to keep us satisfied for one book :D .

Oh my goodness!! When she said that I thought she meant Maerad and Cadvan would travel to Hem... I'm so depressed now....

Crow ends on the same day that Riddle did, so they were never going to be in it, i admit that i too, hoped that Maerad and Cadvan might turn up halfway through crow, but alas, it's not to be :( ... meh, still can't wait for Crow though! :D

So I guess that means we're all gonna have to wait ages untill we find out if Maerad and Cadvan ever get together :(

I agree. There are so many little hints that cadvan is hot for her, but then again that could just be his way. Do you think that it might just be that that's the way cadvan is and he's not really in love with mearad?

Good Gosh NO!!... Here.. and I quote from The Riddle (page 212 for those of you playing at home) "She had loved Cadvan, and he had loved her; and, she knew now, with an unuassuageable bitterness, she had misunderstood that love"

I think that proves he loves her :D

Don't you think that that could just her saying that he's an awsome friend and using 'love' as a friendship term? I'm looking at it from all angles so at least one of them is right :)
