ooooh, what do the UK spines look like? :)

I reckon Hem is just as major as Cadvan or Maerad. The only reason we assume Maerad and Cadvan are the major caharacters is because there are two books aboutt hem and as of yet we haven't read much about Hem. :D So after the third book Hem will probably get right up there I reckon! ^^

Ohh Uk editions, so nice...

Why are there two different types of covers for the books anyways? Can't they just all be the same? That means i wouldn't be jealous if i got the one that doesn't look as good. (but the're all great on the inside)

I'm not sure if this is true so don't credit me on this but maybe if it's released by a different publisher they change the covers to suit them

That sounds pretty right, but i think Penguin is a world-wide publisher isn't it?

Well Penguin is the Australian publisher, Walker Books is the UK one and Candlewick is the US one, so that's probably why they all look different

Yes, Siobhan, you're right - different publishers make their own different designs. Though the same publisher will do different designs for different markets. It all depends on the publisher! As do many things...

Speaking of which - Hi Peter - the bad news is that it's a bit of a wait for The Crow - it's proposed pub date is mid-2006. Sorry! But at least I've finished writing it - this one seemed to take ages and ages.

And Akdor, I posted jpgs of the UK book spines under the Book Covers thread (so we don't get too mixed up) :D I like 'em!

Akdor Alison could have said those things but it doesn't mean that cadvan is not ashamed he is denying or uncertain of his own emotions i mean arent we all at some time in our lives ashamed for feeling something and denying it or not knowing what it is?

Aha! You've been peeking at the notes for my next novel, no? A ragingly sexy bodice ripper set in the fantastic land of Cokinade, with a cast of thousands and an interesting dwarfish subplot about onions ... or was it shallots...? and ducks of course.

Damn she found out!! *stamps foot* and now we wasted all that time and still got caught out and am now in the middle of Alice Springs LOST!!!!!!!! :D   :D
