I think it mentioned in one of the books about a spell back firing or something... maybe that's wrong, a spell doesn't seem right hmmm.

If thats correct it would have had to have been metioned in The Riddle because ive read The Gift to many times to have missed a detail like that lol.

Ceredian died because cadvan conjured up a dark creature a reverant i think it was and he couldnt control it.So in a way i guess that was a spell back firing.I dont think it mentions how silvias baby died.Hmm i just called it a baby how do we know if it was a baby or a older child?

I think that at some point it says that Clavila was 27 or something, well at least old enough not to be a child or a baby... WTF 27.... where did that come from, don't take anything i say seriously, it's probably my confused brain exploding random facts at the keyboard again. :D

Okies, it says in Gift "Clavila, our daughter, died in an accident almost thirty years ago" and i'm fairly sure that Silvia says something about having a daughter Maerad's age at some point. I'll see if i can find it...

Ok then, on page 102 in Gift, Silvia says "I haven't had this much fun since my own daughter was your age." so, we know, until Alison tells us for sure :D, that Clavila was at least 16-17 or older when she died. An "accident" could also point towards a 'spell' mishap, but maybe that was just me over-analysing or something.
