Don't worry i too have, on occasion, giggled and squealed (ie apon finishing the Riddle, oh poor poor English readers, you have to suffer through another month of waiting) and when i found out my elvish name is Gilraen and then sudsiquently realising that that is Aragorn's mums name.... sigh. Hmm when i put Cadvan in it came out Beren ( :) ) ahh i see now it's Hour too now.

PS hey Maerad's elvish name is Tari, i'm sure our very own Tari here on the forums will be happy...

Then i'll just have to give him a spanking :D  :D ahh the many perks of being Aragorns mum

ohhhhh SQUEAL (told you Lirva!) Gilraen also means Starwanderer (My very own Icarii Enchanter name! that would make sense if you've read axis trilogy by Sara douglass, hint hint).

you poor poor english readers, the wait must be horrible, still only a little while to go, and then we can get into some ernest convo's about Riddle and what will happen next!

No no, I'm happy to get into earnest convo's about The Riddle, and I'm english; I...persuaded... *coughbulliedcough* my dad to order it all the way from Oz for a christmas prezzie. The postage cost almost as much as the book itself!

I suddenly feel guilty - you're all going nuts! Is it really my fault?!

I'm sorry about the wait. The official UK pub date for The Riddle is May 1. I'm still catching up with stuff that slid while I was writing The Crow but I'll update my web page within the next couple of weeks - and promise to inform you all! Though that will probably make things worse.

As for Cadvan's Elven name being Beren - well, Beren was a famous lover (of Luthien) so...

I'm so glad btw that you picked up the hint on that moment in The Riddle. It's an important moment, but my first editor wanted me to take it out because she didn't understand what was going on and thought it was baffling!
