There IS justice in the universe

This is really hoopy! (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6867061/)

They named a asteroid Arthurdent when Mr Adams died and now they've named an asteroid with the provisional designation "2001 DA42" (the year he died, his initials and the answer to the ultimate question!) Douglasadams.

So take comfort in the fact that Doug is out there somewhere in the cosmos... and one day some intrepid space explorer will land on asteroid Douglasadams and plant a towel. No orbiting frood should be without a towel.

Very cool, I had not heard that.

"SHAZAM!"

well... I just made up the thing about planting the towel. The improbability factor of that happening probably isn't high enough for it to actually happen.

I thought it was a good way to say, "so long and thanks for all the fish!"

LOL, I meant that I hadn't heard about the asteroid being named. The towel would be a great touch though. :)

If the fish is dipped in grass...

Hey... I only use the grass during lift off... once I'm high enough, it's straight rocket fuel.

I've just come up with a new Master Plan - An asteroid named "Rocket Sheep"

I really hope it won't crash into us then.

Yeah really, I wouldn't want the denizens of Earth to be instantly turned into trimmings for a celestial lamb kebab! Perhaps Mr Adams was on to something when he envisioned Earth being demolished to make way for an interstellar bypass.
