I think that a male perspective can be intriguing if written in the right way. I'm looking forward to The Crow even more now :)
Anyone read the Otori Trilogy? At first the male perspective the books were wrote in were really interesting but by the end of the trilogy I was more interested in Kaede as a character than Taeko. Was it just me?

oh...science project- how arachnids and other formidable predators have adapted to not only their environments but to their method of capture and prey....there are 6 £10 book vouchers to be won by June- so I'm definatly going to get at least one for The Crow :D My science teachers would be so proud to know that I am so scientifically motivated!:D :p ;)

A fantasy about a society of spiders should be interesting with regards to "women and fantasy".

Martriarchy with a vengeance. ;) :D
