I like romance, but not where it is all consuming. Just as a side-story.
Like Alanna in The Lioness Quartet, it is merely a side story her learning to love.

^I agree. That's how I write. It's an integral part of the plot, but it isn't the main point.

Romance is best portrayed in novels the way it is in real life (in my opinion). It isn't the main point. But it's something that still occupies a lot of the mind :D That's pretty much how love is normally. xD

im not a big romance person but i can appreciate true love and the special moment when you realize it because in books the people dont usually get rejected

omg i love romance with fantasy so well i dont know i just love it
i love women fantasy novelists but i think sometimes authors like tamora pierce go kinda overboard with the female heroines i love fantasy novels with male main characters but there really arnt as many as those
and then one of the reasons i love pellinor is because hem and maerad are both main characters and thats a nice change
i mean obviously its fantasy anything can happen but sometimes i think they can go to a point of unrealisticness especially if an author tries to reinforce that its unusual for a women to learn sword play and all that stuff
