Possible Dark Shadows Movie?

I happen to be a big fan of the old Dark Shadows tv series, and I read a while back that the series producer Dan Curtis was possibly considering making a movie based on the series, with Johnny Depp starring as the vampire Barnabas Collins. I haven't read anymore about it, but I certainly hope they do make a movie based on the DS series.
Here's my list of actors/actresses that I think would be good at playing the DS characters, Johnny Depp as Barnabas already considered,

Courtnee Draper as Victoria Winters
Linda Carter as Elizabeth Collins
Colm Feore as Roger Collins
Erik Per Sullivan as David Collins
Sophia Bush as Carloyn Collins
Bryan Cranston as Burke Devlin
Matt Long as Joe Haskell
Jessica Pare as Maggie Evans
Jim Belushi as Sam Evans
Laura Prepon as Dr. Julia Hoffman
Sean Bean as Reverend Trask
Tom Welling as Quentin Collins
Diane Kruger as The Phoenix
John Rhys-Davies as Count Petofi
Jeremy Irons as the Warlock Nicholas Blair
Nichole Kidman as Angelique
Christopher Lee as the Warlock Judah Zachary

Johnny Depp, a vampire, not in this or any future life.

FYI there are already 2 or 3 DS movies. They are from the 70s or 80s and often had the original cast. Can't say they were very good, but they are out there. Can't remember the names though.
