New Dragonlance reader....where to begin after the original trilogy?

So I remember about 8 years ago (in 8th grade), I borrowed the first book of the Chronicles trilogy. I thought it was great, eventho fantasy wasn't by thing at all. I think I read the 2nd as well, but then school started, i got busy, and never got around to finishing it up. Well recently, I took a trip down memory lane, and went to Barnes & Noble and checked out the Dragonlance book. It was insane how many are out now. It was overwhelming, but at the same time modivating. I now want to jump into Dragonlance once again, but I cant even begin to think about where to start. I know I should read the Chronicles first, but where to after that? Is there a timeline the books follow (like the star wars novels), or it just random scattered stories?

I have read several Dragonlance books, but by no means all of them. In my opinion, the next ones to read would be the Legends trilogy. I think they are next in order, and they are also my favorite ones next to the Chronicles. And if you like the Dragonlance books I would recommend the Sovereign Stone trilogy also by Weis & Hickman

Yes, jump into Legends. Very good stuff there.

After that, try the Tales series. Weis and Hickman write a few short stories on the Companions of the Lance and their kids in it. Also: The Second Generation and Dragon's of Summer Flame

After those, try these:

Richard Knaak

The Legend of Huma

Kaz the Minotaur

Land of the Minotaurs

Margaret Weis:

Soulforge

Brother's in Arms

If you like elves, try:

The Elven Nations Trilogy

For the main storylines (ones written by Weis/Hickman) here's the order I recommend

Chronicles
-dragons of autumn twilight
-dragons of winter night
-dragons of spring dawning
Legends
-time of the twins
-war of the twins
-test of the twins
Second Generation
Dragons of Summer Flame
War of Souls
-dragons of a fallen sun
-dragons of a lost star
-dragons of a vanished moon

In between summer flame and war of souls, there's a series dragons of a new age written by jean rabe i think...the plot is about how the huge dragons take over Krynn.

After war of souls, I believe there's a series about minotaurs...not sure what it's about but last I read, they have taken over the elflands...there's also another series ongoing by Weis about Mina who is one of the main characters in war of souls.

haven't read Legend of Huma but lots of people recommend it.

The following link has a good discussion of the Dragonlance novels and a suggested reading order:
