How do I go about uploading a sci fi short story direct from my MY Documents file in my computer to this site?

First you'll have to register for the Community section which you can do from this link:
http://www.sffworld.com/community/register.php

Once that is done you can add stories and poems to the site.

Okay, I'm registered. Is there a way for me to cut and paste my story onto the site without having to type it in?

Once you have the text copied, you can then paste it by using CTRL and V together, if there is no Paste option or button etc.

You're welcome. Usually, the text box for the stories etc. will enable a right click to bring up the menu where Paste is an option. However, if this doesn't work for you, the method above should.

Yes, as Erebus says, the usual shortcuts for pasting text should work just fine.
