hmm... i actually dun mind that mearad and cadvan dies in the end as they will as all human or livin organisms die... and dying as a hero for saving the world is actually quite cool but not like died for nothing or died becoz of some LAME reason...would be actually quite ok...
but it would not be interesting at all...

I don't think I'd like that (think Mr Crepsley ((Darren Shan))) even thought their deaths may not have been in vain.. It would be quite a pleasent twist to have the Dark side 'win' as it were... but then maybe at the very end, M&C die together to seal some kind of spell to banish all evil...
How about Alison... you write all kinds of conclusions in seperate books (they don't have to be long) and then when we all go and buy the main book, we can choose which ending we can have!? :D
aka-
M&C living happily ever after
M dying
C dying *noo*
Hem dying
Darsor dying
Imi dying
a plant dying... :D

Nah, I disagree with you there, Rocket Sheep, but you could probably already guess that. ;)
I could be wrong, but Maerad's fear of men seems to be a relatively prominent sub-theme within the story so far. I'm sure it says somewhere that Maerad does not regard Cadvan as being like one of the men she's used to. Plus there's the way she spurns Dernhil yet doesn't say anything when Cadvan's dropping his lil hints. Perhaps (and very hopefully, in my opinion) Cadvan will help overcome Maerad's fear, by...well, you know what I mean. ;)

Yes!, i agree with you Mrs. Cadvan, i think, in my opinion that Maerad will over come her fear of loving men and that, ye cadvan can be quite but underneath i think he does feel something for Maerd! and besides, there are hints like you said in the 3nd book of when they are in the "Owl" and when thet are talking about love and when in the ending too, Cadvan shows tenderness to Mearad, like never before.

I am practically DYING for the 3rd book!!!!!:(

Aaaahhh! That's a terrible thought!! Cadvan...Maerad...die?!
There was that thing with Honas, only Maerad didn't seem that besotted with him to be honest. But when it comes to Cadvan and Nerili, a totally different story. What was going on there? Care to enlighten us, Alison?

Ye, what about that thing between Nerili and Cadvan. You can see now that in that chapter, it shows HARD evidence that Maerad does feel sometihng for Cadvan, otherwise she woulndn't have had that "flash of jelousy" when Nerlili looks at cadvan in that different way!:D

OMG this is just like North and South, you're there wishing the whole time that they would just come out with it and say "I love you!". But the only problem is "I love you" is so cliched these days, which is really sort of sad, if you do have it that way, more than likely you'll get critised for it.

It'd be funny if Alison just got sick of it and typed

Maerad, being throughly sick of all the inuendo and latent sexual vibe between the two of them swung around and yelled,
"OH, scr*w this! Cadvan! Do you have underlying sexual feeling towards me that you feel unable to expose for fear of rejection and hurt steming from the deep hurt caused by the death of Ceredin the first woman you truely loved and also feel unable to tell me as you are afraid that i'm too deeply scarred from my own past experiences of men, not to mention you think i'll squash you with a giant shining bottom (lol) if you scare me too deeply?"
Cadvan stood there agast, "Well, um, if you want to put it that way..."
cutting him off Maerad replied "Good then, now lets get the obligatory sex scene out of the way, well just skip all the "I love you" yadda yadda yadda cr@p, okies?"
"well...," Cadvan sputtered.
"Wonderful," Maerad said, beeming at before ripping all her clothes off and throwing herself on Cadvan.

Then there was something about defeating a Nameless one, but that really doesn't matter seeing as all you really cared about was that they got it on in the end, right?

THE END
By the light Gemini.:p
OMG, u really did make me laugh to death!! i was laughing my head off, the neighbours are gonna think i have gone mad!!

I could just imagine that happening, LOL
That was so funny!!
