I just want to state here and now, that if by some freak occurance the Republicans get total control of the government and do away with Social Security, I want all the money I put in back. I beleive that is my right as a citizen. If I am never to see any service for the money I put in, then I deserve a refund. I came across a sign that an obvious republican small business owner put up at their business. It said "Socialism is equal sharing of Misery." I found this extremely funny because of how poorly thought out it was given that most of these same republican's define themselves as morally upstanding Christians. Is not sharing the burdens of the downtrodden what Christ asks of us. Talk about moral conflicts.
Get ready for a shocker, I actually agree with a Republican! I beleive congress made a mistake in its execution of health care reform by making it a federal mandate. However, I do beleive in the reasoning behind the idea, just not the execution.
