Daily Science Fiction stories

Rate this Entry
I don't read as much short story stuff as I should/would like. However, I've realised that I've been reading a short story every day for just over a year now at Daily Science Fiction.com, who email me one a day.

It's a good site and the stories can be very good: just what you need in a coffee break.

So it's about time I passed the word on. Hope you enjoy them too!

Mark

    Hey Mark,

I subscribed for awhile, but I didn't like them as much as I liked Everyday Fiction. But, now I'm not liking Everyday Fiction so much anymore. Maybe I'll give Daily Science Fiction a try again.

    Thanks!

Hi Nila: Everyday Fiction is one I didn't know about, so I'll try that one myself! Seems to be more than just genre though, having had a quick look-through.

Yes, Everyday Fiction has a broader audience.

DSF just didn't do it for me. First off, people can't seem to remember science when they write science fiction, and secondly, stories about faeries coming of age is not what I consider science fiction.

You, of course, should feel free to enjoy. Is the pay rate still 8c a word?

Fair point. I've always read that title as 'Fantasy & SF' myself, like 'The Magazine of....'

Must admit, I've not read many stories there that stick to 'the science stuff'. We would need an Analog type site for that.

    Anyone seen one like that?

That I don't know. But then I'm not a writer!
