I am terrible at telling people about reviews on the way: I am trying to do better.

So: on the way are:

Captain Nemo by Kevin J. Anderson:

A great rip-roaring pulp type adventure, which mixes up lots of elements of Jules Verne's novels, and one I enjoyed much more than I thought I would. Made me want to read the original Jules Verne again.

The Wine of Angels by Phil Rickman:

Creepy supernatural tale involving a vicar finding all is not what she expects when new to her post in a seemingly-quaint English village. Great stuff, and a series I'm looking forward to reading further.

Hitler's War by Harry Turtledove

Alternate history: what could have happened if Hitler started WW2 early, in 1938? Pretty much what to expect from Harry: lots of characters, great breadth, not so much depth.

Will try to do this more often, but that'll do for now!

Should be up in the next day or so, tmso.

I liked it. Not particularly deep but nicely creepy. Be interested to see if the English culture translates actually: not sure it will, but it is a good page-turner!
