Bad picture, I know, but I wanted to show how HUGE the book is.

It also made me think about cover art (again.)

Here's the US cover:


Hmm.

I really like the UK cover (apart from that excrusciating blurb across the top.):



and although I've ordered a copy of the Subterranean Press edition (which was supposed to appear about the same time as the mass-printed copy (Hah!), I really don't like the cover:



Is it just me?

    Hobbit, did you get your Sub press copy of Drood yet? Mine came yesterdat, a beautiful book and Dan has a very fancy signature!

    Hi Jamie: sorry for the delay in replying, been away on business.

    My Subterranean Press copy has arrived and very nice it is, though I am still distinctly underwhelmed by the cover. The UK cover is so much better, to my mind.

    But it is what's in the book that matters most, of course.
