Comic relief

Apparently. 2012 is yet another year in which the world will end or at least that's what Hollywood and crazy cult people have told me.

In the meantime a new year means a new blog post and it has been almost exactly a year since I posted, wow I suck. Keeping blogs has never been a skill of mine - there are at least two blogspot attempts drifting through the digital ether on their way to unused-blackhole-annihilation - so I will make no pretense this year, a failing of previous ones as you will note, at promising to post regularly.

Neither are there any new years resolutions attached to this first, and possibly only, blog post of the year because I suck at those too.

So what does that leave us with?
Things I would like to do this year:

- Get more involved with the flash and short story competitions. I had a brief run of involvement but not for some time, I'm not great at prose but I do want to scratch that itch on a more regular basis.

- Not letting people down. Last year I didn't do some things I said I would, I didn't read Holbrook's excerpt that she sent me, I didn't upload a bunch of comic reviews Corporal Blues was awesome enough to allow us to use and I didn't really involve myself in the site as I should. So I'm calling myself out on those things along with all the procrastination that took place in RL.

- Writing more, which will or won't happen and something I've learned not to force but I would like it to come about.

- Not die in the series of apocalyptic events that end the world. Maybe this is just wishful thinking but someone has to be around to tell those post-apocalypse stories, heck deprived of an audience I might even write them down.

Anyway, let's end this mandatory ramble with a happy new year to all. It's going to be our last so make it a good one
