I need your help my friends. I just spent two hours watching the documentary "Jonestown Paradise Lost" and it is wrenching my heart out. I feel like the, I believe, Harlion Allison story "I Have no Mouth and Must Scream". I need some good cheer to help blot out the senseless blindness that so plagues members of our society. People who rail at the ugliness of mankind as they kill their own children. Poor, poor misunderstood us, we have to kill you because you question our holiness. We have to kill ourselves to save us from you who are so immoral even though some of us don't want to die. Spanish Inquisition, Hitler, Pol Pot, Jonestown, Waco, Far Right and Left Fundamentalism, will it never end. So ridiculously obserd was the sign at Jonestown that read "Those that do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it." God the horrible truth. Radical Christianity, Judism, Islam; Communism, Dictators, Lobbyists; KKK, IRA, Gangs; Hitler, Stalin, Muossulini; Bush, Cheney, Rove; Jim Jones, David Koresh, Osama Bin Laden, as a man and not God, I find forgivness for you very hard, contrary to my story "Cast the First Stone". The lessons of the past seem to have very short shelve lives. So I ask you friends, send me something to cheer me up.
