Old ways are the best.

I have been struggling with my writing for a while. I felt as if I had lost the knack. Ok I had bursts, but never a steady flow.

But slowly I have gone back to my old ways. Shutting myself away in the fourth bedroom that is set up as a sudy and just writing, listening to music and researching when I need it.

I am sitting surrounded by books, paper, cups, dirty plates and enjoying it.

The two projects I am working on are both at about 7,000 words. That is 14,000 in just a month. Not bad at all!!

Oracle is dropping its word count fast. Compared to HOG I certainly waffled in Oracle. A lot is damn good waffle and is being left. But a lot goes off the plot line. I am hoping to tighten it into a fast paced gaslight/steampunk fantasy romance by Easter.

I also think the improvement in my writing has a lot to do with my health. It is better than it has been for quite a few years. I am not in pain in my legs or feet and it is wonderful. You don't realise how constant background throbbing pain can affect your life until it is gone.

Now back to downing a Lancaster bomber!!

Ah, gotta do what works for you, Holbrook.

Yikes about the pain, but great that it's gone. I can't imagine. Crossing my fingers that all my limbs remain intact and pain-free.
