Now that it is spring, I have decided to venture out of my palace. Elsewhere the warm rays of the sun are melting snow and giving life to the flowers and trees. But this far up north, the only living things are the wolves that occasionally wander the abandoned plains. The faint sunlight that glistens on the snow is not enough to bring warmth, but merely teases beings with the false promise of heat.
I am alone in my wanderings. No other living thing is stirring on the wide expanse of snowy plains. Out here, with no other thoughts to distract me, I can be free to think on the recent happenings alone. The wind whistles sharply, traveling unhindered where there are no trees to stop its journey.
For the first time in such a long while, I can feel truly content. I have no duties to attend to, no thoughts plaguing my mind, and no regrets. I am an Elidhu, and I will last forever.
Perhaps, in the future, I will once again interact with humans again. But for now I am content to roam my kingdom, unhindered like the wind, untied to the problems of others, with no worries.[/COLOR]
