Thanks! It's a nice feeling, knowing somebody thinks you're not an unsalable hack. I may be a hack, but somebody thinks I'm a salable hack.

Oh. G'kar lives. I get it. B5. G'kar was one of my favorite characters. Although I liked the Centauri lackey, too. Oh, and Walter Koenig's character. He was so brilliantly un-Chekov.

Congrats! I don't think I've read any of your stuff, but I'm sure you're not a worthless hack. Keep up the great work!

    Cheers.

I didn't say I was worthless, I could still be worthless, but I'm worthless and salable.

Well, it's been pretty iffy for a while waiting to hear if the book my story was slated for was going to go forward or if the market was going to more or less close out with the works already under contract. It now looks like the head will be passing control to another for editorial, and they're going to offer the book in several electronic formats as well as a printed book via lulu.

So that's encouraging news. I hadn't completely given up, but I wasn't expecting it to go forward.

    More details later.

Sent it back yester... er. Monday. Man, I'm losing track of the days of the week. And I'm eating my vegetables and taking vitamins. What to do?

    Happy days! Glad for you.

Good For You! Perseverance pays, especially when one has the tickets! I'm just getting connected, and it's interesting to follow the history of your journey. Blessings!

One thing you don't hear much about (barring a few writing books) is the waiting. I'm waiting to hear if the contract I sent is acceptable (since I signed it electronically).

In the meantime, at work on other things.

And thanks for the nice comments. November kind of ate my time. I'm baaaaaack!

Update January 22 - The anthologies are still going forward as four separate ebook titles. Just heard. $2.99 price which I believe is a good price for five to seven stories, and they are still planning on a print on demand version being made available.

That's great! Congrats. You'll have to put a link up when it is ready.

Proof copy was in my inbox today when I checked my mail.

    Yippee!!

Of course, now I have to read the story again and make sure it's free of grammatical errors. (fingers crossed).

That part took me forever... I'm pretty sure it's not just me who has problems seeing errors in my own work after I've read it a few times...

    It's out!.....

Hooray! Where can one get the anthology? I haven't read a good zombie story for ages...
