Despite trying not to buy anything at the moment I gave in and picked up The Wind Through the Keyhole by Stephen King :)
Hyperion (SubPress)
The Naked God (SubPress)
Paul of Dune
Winds of Dune
Sisterhood of Dune
The Fractal Prince
Just bought the first two Gap novels from Stephen R Donaldson. I haven't read anything by him before, but have heard lots of praise.
Well, we've got a bit of catching up to do.
In the past few months:
The Emperor's Finest (Ciaphas Cain #7) - Sandy Mitchell
Eggheads - Emily Devenport
Doctor Who New Series Adventures - 11th Doctor vols #1-3 & #7-9 - Various
Caliban's War (The Expanse #2) - James S.A. Corey
Fire Season (Stephanie Harrington #2) - David Weber & Jane Lindskold
Chris Wooding - Retribution Falls
Chris Wooding - Black Lung Captain
Found these at a local used bookstore today. Does anyone know if the third book, The Iron Jackel will be published in the U.S.?
US editions are getting marketed as YA, UK as adult fiction. I believe.
Rogue Moon by Algis Budrys
Oh, Cool, I didn't know about this thread.
Books that I recently bought are:
Leviathan Wakes by James S.A. Corey (which i am reading now)
Neormancer by William Gibson
Conisder Phlebas by Iain M Banks
Mindstar Rising by Peter F Hamilton
Revelation Space by Allistar Reynolds
My only problem is which to read next after Leviathan Wakes, although I am enjoying it so much that I am thinking about reading the sequel before moving on to a new series. what do you guys think?
Well since you asked, I have opinions. :-D
The third book, Abaddon's Gate, is coming out next May, so the question is whether to space them out a bit so you don't forget everything by the time you pick up book 3. There are also two novellas available, but if you have a good memory, might as well keep going since May isn't really that far away.
Good advice. Right now I am thinking space them out a bit. I can get book 2 in march, then get book 3 in june, and I can read a few other books in between. I guess I could also read the 2 novellas in between as well since they are so short. I think that is the plan for now, although that plan can change 10 times before june haha.
I bought The Apocalypse Ocean by Tobias Buckell for my kindle, only $4.99. This is the fourth in his Xenowealth saga.
Little behind on this list.
Unquenchable Fire (S.F. Masterworks) - Rachel Pollack
Take Back Plenty (S.F. Masterworks) - Colin Greenland (pre-purchase)
Ack-Ack Macaque - Gareth L. Powell
Podkayne of Mars - Robert A. Heinlein (Yes, Hobbit, I finally ordered it!)
