Crossroads of Twilight

I am halfway through reading CoT bok ten of the Wheel of time series. I was wondering what the majority of you who have read through to this book think about this recent addition.
So far from friends, they are negative about it, but I'm a bit more optamistic.(..?)

I voted for "neither, just reading it", but actually I'm not. I haven't even bought it yet. I do, however, expect I will like it. While I do have my criticisms of the series, I've enjoyed all of the books to this point.

The thing is, there is great continuity in terms of pace and style among the earlier books. The recent books, with Harriet as editor, are a different kettle of fish, IMO.

I was optimistic too, then I read it, suffice to say my opinion of WoT plummeted, way, way down.

I wish the WoT had ended with the Dragon Reborn, nothing afterwards is at that standard

Can't argue with you there. The later books are not as good as the earlier ones. But overall, I have still enjoyed the series, and I don't expect CoT to change that. At least I hope it doesn't.

I've only read the first third, but so far its interesting. Good choice of points of view. Mat's interaction with Tuon is cool.

The early books were especially memorabe, but I'm still enjoying Jordan just as much as ever.

My opinion has also gone way down with Crossroads of Twilight. I agree with Iskaral Pust. The series has not been the same since the Dragon Reborn. Very disappointing since I have invested so much time into the series. I guess I will finish the series, but not really looking forward to it.
