Marrianne, I think Russell Kirkpatrick (map man, HC voyager's 2004 new writer) has been to the last two NZ natcons. He comes over here for cons regularly so you may have met him. Email him anyway, he's fairly chatty.
They had their 2005 con in March in Wellington but the next one is in Auckland: Conclave 2006
Are you coming to Continuum, this year?
Thanks Bren,Quote:

I'm not going to Glasgow. I just got back from England and after two days in an economy seat making like an origami human, my legs are killing me. I'm currently vowing never to fly again and convincing my brother to move to the southern hemisphere.
I'm only tall in my legs and only averagely tall but they don't fit in a Qantas plane... I'm just off to check for DVT since I have other risk factors and too much pain.
How on earth do you fit in plane seats, Marrianne?
Be good to see you down in Melbourne. I'm not going anywhere else this year.

I guess knowing what a nightmare it is the one consolation for not going to UK. I was concerned about recovering from the flight in time to actually enjoy the con.
Hope the dvt thing is ok. wise to check it out.
mebbee- I hope, see you in Melbourne.
In typical Borders fashion, book 2 has appeared on their shelves, and a computer-search brings up nothing on book 1 (Nylon Angel)! I bought number 2 because I know that if I don't, I'll never be able to find it again, and I have been told that I have to order book 1 on a weekday and not a weekend! :mad:Quote:

Hi there BOP,
how frustrating!
If you can wait it is probably better. Book 2 will carry more weight if NA is read first otherwise you'll probably feel some of the characters are too mysterious. Also NA plot is quite complex.
I could send you NA from here but Borders will proabably be quicker.
Let me know what you think

ps and thanks for persevering.
Finally got it!! I picked it up from borders last night, and I'm already half-way through. :D

Well, considering that I devoured both Nylon Angel & Code Noir in a couple of days, you could say that I might have enjoyed them. ;) I don't suppose the third book is gonna make it to NZ shores any time soon? *hopeful look*Quote:

Sorry, I'm afraid I've used up all my author copies with giveaways at Thylacon. But you could try ordering from Amazon. Otherwise it's in around September.
