I want to make one correction to the post above about the Forbidden Planet event. T-shirts will be given for free to anyone who attends who purchases a book! That was left off of the flyer and it's an important qualification. I don't want to mislead anyone.
I didn't create that flyer! Sorry everyone!

The launch at Forbidden Planet last night was a smashing success!! More people turned out for it than anyone expected, and they sold out of books within 45 mintues. They had to take orders after that.
Among the crowd were a few reviewers, some editors and agents, and lots of friends and fellow authors. I hope to have some pictures up by tomorrow.
I signed every book they sold as well as posters and t-shirts.
The staff of Forbidden Planet was all decked out in Revenge of the Elves shirts and the windows and surrounding store windows were plastered with Revenge posters.
Cool. Very Cool.
Thanks to everyone who came by to support me! I appreciate it so much.

What a great experience for you! Congratulations on it going so well. Wish I could have been there, though at least I got to meet you and some of the gang at WFC. And now you have a friend for life in Forbidden Planet!

Working on it! all the time. It's a tough one to write.
I heard someone talking about writing yesterday in a movie from a few years ago. She said that it's painful to write and that you bleed on each page. You give so much of yourself that it's kind of like dying. When you write a book because you passionately need to and want to write that particular book, you leave a big piece of yourself inside it and it exhausts you. Then it's done, it's over. And right away they ask, "what's next?". We've got to pick ourselves up and move on, and it becomes that next one that matters to everyone else, while we're still suffering and spent from this one.
Interesting observations.
Astute.
Meaningless.
