Yeah, but just because a melody is in a minor key doesn't mean it's supposed to be sad. Of course the dying songs, yeah those are pretty bittersweet. But in, for example, Russia, some of their happiest songs are in a minor key. It's kind of a...very modern idea that happy songs have to be in a major key. Since this is a very long time ago, I'm trying to stick to older instruments and ideas.
Anyway haunting melodies are easier to write for me. xD
